Overall objective: stimulating intelligent, sustainable and balanced economic growth to ensure sustainable development of the region. Therefore, the general objective of the project entitled “Increasing the competitiveness of WELKINS FIRE PROTECTION SOLUTIONS SRL through the acquisition of high-performance equipment” is to increase the competitiveness of the company through an intelligent and sustainable, at the same time balanced economy.
Specific objectives:
OBJECTIVE 1: Stimulating smart, sustainable and balanced economic growth for WELKINS FIRE PROTECTION SOLUTIONS SRL
- Supporting the economic growth of WELKINS FIRE PROTECTION SOLUTIONS SRL through the acquisition of tangible and intangible assets
OBJECTIVE 2: Integrating the principles of sustainable development, equal opportunities, gender and non-discrimination
- Implementing measures to improve the quality of the environment and increase energy efficiency by purchasing energy-efficient equipment and using elements of the circular economy, by minimizing waste generated at source with the purchase of waste compactors and by signing a pre-contract for selective collection and recycling of waste;
- Measures regarding equal opportunities, non-discrimination, adaptation of infrastructure for access by people with disabilities and adaptation of equipment for operation by people with disabilities
OBJECTIVE 3: Increasing the competitiveness of society through innovation and digitalization
- Carrying out product and process certification activities
- Carrying out digitalization activities through the acquisition of intangible assets and internationalization
The purpose of the project and its expected or actual achievements:
RESULT 1: Stimulating smart, sustainable and balanced economic growth for WELKINS FIRE PROTECTION SOLUTIONS SRL through:
- Endowment with tangible and intangible assets specific to CAEN code 2512 – Manufacture of metal doors and windows
RESULT 2: Integration of the principles of sustainable development, equal opportunities, gender and non-discrimination
- energy-efficient equipment: Computerized double-end cutting machine, 3-motor pantograph, Upright/crossbeam cutter, Crimping machine
- elements of the circular economy waste press
- minimization of waste generated at source by signing a pre-contract for selective waste collection and recycling;
- equal opportunities and non-discrimination by adapting the infrastructure for access for people with disabilities as follows: mobile ramp, tactile marking, mobile bar, parking for people with disabilities, braille signs
- equal opportunities and non-discrimination by adapting equipment for operation by people with disabilities, such as: braille keyboard
RESULT 3: Product, process and societal innovation certification
- Certification of the window product and the window manufacturing process
- Digitalization of society through: acquisition of double-edged machine software
- Internationalization through participation in an international fair
Total project value is 299.178,02 EUR
Value of EU co-financing is 170.000,00 EUR
